Our first snow storm of the season! 

9 am 10/25/10 in West Vail

As part of the mud season we can see the some major fluctuation in the weather.   Yesterday it was 61 degrees in the morning, which is unseasonably warm for a morning temperature for this time of year.  It was a sunny gorgeous day, then slowly the wind became very intense and it started to bring in teh clouds, however, it was still warm enough that no coat was required.  This morning we have more than a foot of snow in the Valley, and I am hearing up to 18 inches in some places.  It is cold, the temperature this morning was 25 degrees.  Brrrr…

This is just like the mountain weather….just when you think winter is gone for good, wham! It comes back.  And before we know it (in a day or two) it will be Spring again.
